#SummerMovedOn. How a season full of events was seen in Craiova
Summer is officially over, and with it, we can also remember a lot of events that got us out of the house to enjoy the sun, theater, thrills, music and much more. We look back and say clearly and bluntly that we had a dreamy season in Craiova, full of surprises and activities for all ages.
Craiova Super Rally
The people of Craiova had a great time at the Craiova Super Rally, held on September 9 and 10 in the center of the city. Drivers from the country and abroad raced through the streets of the city, offering a great day's show to those present and fans of thunderous cars.
InstaCraiova
Everything about photography, but also workshops, success stories, fun and much more meant InstaCraiova 2022, a fresh, young festival, full of energy and joy, which took place between September 9 and 11 in "Romanescu" Park, in the area of the Enchanted Castle. #FuseiVăzuiPozai, that is the slogan under which this festival is held year after year, urges people to get creative and literally enjoy everything that surrounds them, trying to capture the beautiful life around them.
Craiova Jazz Festival
Unique jazz rhythms resounded between September 8 and 11 at the "Oltenia" Philharmonic, but also in the "Nicolae Romanescu" Park. 12 jazz bands made the people of Craiova feel this musical style in a superlative way, offering them a lot of unmistakable moods that only this music can offer. Now in its 6th edition, Craiova Jazz Festival promises to become a far-reaching festival, especially through the freshness with which it has chosen to bring its audience closer!
The Garden of Arts
Organized by the "Traian Demetrescu" House of Culture, this mini-festival wanted to be - and succeeded in being - a live platform for the promotion of local artists. So, on September 7 and 8, in the square at the National Theater, music, poetry, dance, painting, theater, film and photography grew. There were painting workshops on clothes and objects, dance and theater workshops, film screenings, performances, photography exhibition, concerts, to the delight of those present, who met the local artists and enjoyed two days with them in a different way.
IntenCity
Perhaps the most anticipated event of the summer, the IntenCity Festival meant three days of fun (August 26-28) for people from the country and abroad, who came to Craiova to see Jason Derulo, Paul Van Dyk, Afrojack, Martin Solveig and the stars of the 80s, such as Thomas Anders & Modern Talking Band, Ricchi e Poveri, Sandra, Nana and many others. Thus, Craiova wrote a new page in terms of alternative culture and proved that it can join the ranks of cities that organize big festivals.
Puppets Occupy Street
Loved and appreciated by all, the Puppets Occupy Street festival was at its height again this year. Hundreds of events took place for 7 days, between August 25 and September 1, in all corners of Craiova, for both children and adults. The 9th edition began and ended - how else - than with the parade of giant dolls, always a delight for the thousands of spectators that join the event year after year.
