The Craiova Half Marathon unites the community; Dolj County Council offers cultural vouchers at the event
The Craiova Half Marathon - the fundraising event that unites the community year after year - returns this year featuring numerous causes to support, alongside partner and sponsor activities on the esplanade of the "Ion Oblemenco" Stadium. Early Saturday morning, the Dolj County Council will also be present with a pavilion at the event, promoting cultural institutions and the Craiova International Airport, while offering cultural vouchers to those who have the "Discover Dolj&Craiova" app installed.
The Craiova Half Marathon is an impressive undertaking that encourages the community to get active in support of noble causes. Registration fees are donated to the causes participating in the event, ranging from education, canine training, and healthcare initiatives to environmental and social integration projects. Organized by the Romanian Association of Young People with Initiative (A.R.T.I.) in cooperation with SightRunning.ro, the event takes place on Saturday, October 17, with the official opening scheduled for 9:30 AM.
Cultural vouchers for nine museums under the Dolj County Council
As it did last year, the Dolj County Council will host a pavilion at the event to promote the county's cultural institutions and its attractions. Users who have the Discover Dolj&Craiova app installed (available in the App Store and Google Play) can enter a raffle for a chance to win one of 100 cultural vouchers. These provide access to nine cultural institutions under the authority of the Dolj County Council: the Art Museum, the three sections of the Oltenia Museum, the "Amza Pellea" Memorial House, the Cernătești and Izvoranu-Geblescu fortified towers, the Museum of the Romanian Book and Exile, and the "Elena Farago" Memorial House.
We look forward to seeing you this Saturday on the esplanade of the "Ion Oblemenco" Stadium, at both the Dolj County Council pavilion and the stands of the other partners and sponsors. For the eighth year running, the community is coming together to do good, to discover, to learn, and to contribute to a stronger society. We are all united for the community!
