Christmas is getting closer, and this can only be a reason for joy for everyone. We have a unique December, full of events that are more classic or special. Study the list below and choose what you like; why not, give yourself a gift and enjoy what is probably the most beautiful month of the year. 

We start with the 8th of December, when the Dolj County Center for the Conservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture invites us to the Alaiul Datinilor "From old people, from good people". Ensembles and folklore groups from Dolj, Gorj and Mehedinți will participate in the event, in a show that will certainly impress with its authenticity and closeness to traditions. Entry is free, and everything will take place at the "Colibri" Theater for Children and Youth. 

The Madrigal Choir is coming on December 11 to the "Marin Sorescu" National Theater in Craiova for "On the Road to Christmas", a musical royal that brings a story about family, love and the hope of recovery in times of hardship. Along with the Madrigal Choir, the children from the Cantus Mundi Romania choirs from Craiova will take the stage. Tickets are available here:

Probably a concert that has been awaited for a long time is that of the Vita de Vie band, in collaboration with the Oltenia Philharmonic Orchestra, which will take place during the 49th edition of the Craiova Music Festival, on December 13. Certainly, the current sound of those from Vița de Vie, combined with symphonic music, will conquer from the first! 

The Romanian Opera Craiova is preparing a big surprise for us! The actors, orchestra, chorus and ballet of the Romanian Opera Craiova will make a good team with the soprano Barbara Frittoli, the band Subcarpati and the quartet Asturia Girls, presenting the "Magia Crăciunului la Opera", on Sunday, December 18, at the Polyvalent Hall in Craiova. Tickets are available online, but also at the Ticket Agency of the Craiova Romanian Opera at the Polyvalent Hall. 

As the Winter Holidays approach, so do the events typical of this period. So, the time has come for the Viennese Regal in Craiova, where the members of the Orchester di Teatro D'opera Italiana will be joined by the Vox Opera Orchestra. For the first time in Romania, two orchestras join hands to offer the public memorable evenings and unique musical experiences. Everything will take place on December 20 at the Craiova National Theatre. 

Choose what you like and go be full of joy. It's not necessarily about Christmas, but about being together, for another year, in a place where wonderful things happen!
