Online walks through the gardens and parks of Europe. 5 must-see destinations
The smell of flowers, trees and nature in general is very far from many of us during this period. Although we wholeheartedly want to be able to go for walks, now more than ever, we need to be a little more patient and comfort ourselves with what we can do from home.
That’s why we went for "a walk" on the great internet and we gathered a selection of tours of gardens and parks in Europe, which we can visit and about which we can learn a lot of things.
Keukenhof - Netherlands
This is the largest flower garden in the world and is known as the "garden of Europe". Located between Amsterdam and Hague, this dream place was a hunting ground during the 15th century and a good source of herbs and plants. The Keukenhof is open annually for a very short time, from March to the end of May. Millions of bulbs bloom here annually, and no less than 800 types of tulips have a home here.
Knowing the need for information and the tourist interest for this splendid garden, the people there prepared "pandemic" videos through which the magic of Keukenhof comes to peoples’ homes.
Welcome to Keukenhof

The beautiful fountains, plants, trees or statues are objectives that, together, restore the aesthetic perfection of this unique place, which is only a click away.

Not just a garden or a London park, but a whole portal with absolutely all the parks and gardens in the capital of Great Britain! London Gardens Online offers public access to information, but also to photos of over 2,500 parks, gardens, squares, cemeteries, churchyards and other places of historical interest throughout London. Villa d’Este - Italy
Vila d’Este is one of the symbols of the Italian Renaissance and is also an important part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located in Rome’s Tivoli area, Villa d’Este is a jewel of architecture and landscaping. The complex is famous all over the world for its beautiful fountains, but also for the most beautiful example of the Italian Renaissance garden in Europe. On the same site discovered by us you can "visit" Villa Adriana, Villa Gregoriana or the remains of Mensa Ponderaria, a building from the first century, a former commercial space dating back to Roman Empire.
Powerscourt Estate - Ireland
Powerscourt Estate, located in Wicklow, Ireland, is a fairly large, 19-hectare estate, notable for its landscaped home and gardens. The house is, in fact, a castle dating from the thirteenth century, and the gardens began to be arranged around 1860. They were completed after 20 years, in 1880. The area also includes the Powerscourt waterfall which, with a height of 121 meters, is the tallest in Ireland.
