"Pedală în Bănie" conquers the beauties of Dolj again this year!
The "Pedală în Bănie" event, which was born in 2018 out of the desire to promote sports and the superb nature of our county, returns this year with another edition for running, MTB and E-Bike lovers.
Thus, we will have the sixth edition of the first and most important traditional sports event in our county, which will take place between June 13 and 15, in the hill area of the Podari commune.
The chosen theme, "WILD", symbolizes the connection between the freedom of nature and the inner strength of each competitor. Inspired by emblematic animals, the routes will challenge you to overcome your physical and mental limits in spectacular landscapes, crossing dense forests, winding paths and challenging hills.
"Pedală în Bănie" 2025 continues to promote sustainability and team spirit, alongside sporting competitions. The organizers therefore offer special activities such as volunteer programs and greening actions, organized before and after the event, and sponsors and partners of the action are invited to register their employee teams to support these initiatives, demonstrating social commitment and care for nature.
Under the slogan "Unleash the beast in you", participants have the following routes available to register to compete:
- Hawk Race (43 km MTB & E-Bike) – speed, agility and determination;
- Wild Boar Race (24 km MTB) – strength and endurance;
- Jackal Race (3 km MTB) – an easy challenge for beginners;
- Cursa Cursa Şacalului (24 km Trail Run) – endurance and courage;
- Fox Race (14 km Trail Run) – strategy and speed;
- Squirrel Race (3 km Trail Run) – balance and energy;
- Fun Race (600 m Trail Run) – joy and fun for all ages.
Moreover, participants will have, on June 13, a movie night, before the start of the races, on the second day. A sports documentary will be screened, which will be discussed by Cătălin Sprânceană, President of the Romanian Cycling Federation, a Romanian film in collaboration with “Film în Sat”, but also an artistic movie, in collaboration with Inspire Cinema.
