The National Culture Day, full of events in Craiova
The National Culture Day, celebrated on January 15th, the birthday of the poet Mihai Eminescu, will be marked in Craiova through a suite of cultural events designed to pay tribute both to this great creative spirit and to Romanian culture in general.
The events start a few days earlier and will continue after, between January 13th-17th, and two book exhibitions will take place at the "Alexandru și Aristia Aman" County Library ("The Writers of January" - Exhibition Hall, Aman Building, and "Mihai Eminescu, the symbol of national culture" - Hall "Acad. Dinu C. Giurescu").

The same hall will host, on January 14th, the "Mihai Eminescu - A myth, a history, an epic" Symposium, starting at 1:00 p.m. At the same time, from 11:30 a.m., in the "Basarab Nicolescu" Hall, "Eminescu in verse, song and color" will take place, the intersection of a drawing exhibition and a poetry recital, organized in collaboration with the "Mihai Eminescu" School. Also on January 14th, but at the Museum of the Book and the Romanian Exile, the curious can admire the Exhibition "Mihai Eminescu in the Collections of the Museum of the Book and the Romanian Exile" in the Paris Room, which will be available throughout the month of January. Also, in the Exhibition Hall of the institution, starting at 18:00, the opening of the international photographic art exhibition "SOUL - POETRY - PHOTOGRAPHY" will take place.
January 15th is preparing even more events:
- "Aman" Library - 5:30 p.m. - Opening of the Exhibition of painting, graphics, ceramics, visual art "Eminesciana", 7th edition. Event realized by the ArtAmicis Visual Art Group;
- Museum of the Romanian Book and Exile - 13:00-14:00 - "Eminescu and young poetry", (Exhibition hall - ground floor) - Poetry recital from Mihai Eminescu's work and public readings;
- Museum of the Book and the Romanian Exile - 14:30-15:30 - "Artistic networks: Romania-France. In dialogue with the visual artist Constantin Constans" (Attic);
- "Oltenia" Philharmonic - 19.00 - Academic Choir of the "Oltenia" Philharmonic, with the extraordinary participation of the actor Emil Boroghină. Tickets available here:
