The tenth edition of the "Ioana Radu" Festival turns Craiova into the capital of traditional Romanian music!


Romance comes alive this weekend in the capital of Dolj! Thus, the tenth edition of the "Ioana Radu" Festival takes place on Sunday, November 24, from 6 PM, in the performance hall of the Military Circle in Craiova, celebrating excellence and virtuosity in music.

The creative force and the unique sensibility of Ioana Radu, an artist recognized for her unique way of interpreting our beloved romances, as well as popular music, will be brought back to the public through the contribution of famous artists: Ion Amititeloaie, Daniela Vlădescu, Constantin Florescu, Zorina Bălan , Maria Rotaru, Lavinia Bîrsoghe, Mădălina Stoica, Nicolae Datcu, Ion Dragan, Claudia Torop, Andra Matei, Alexandru Lilea, Larisa Cârlugea, Anamaria Pelea, Constantin Lătărețu and his traditional band. The accompaniment at this anniversary edition of the festival is ensured by the Ovidiu Barteș Orchestra, and the audience will enjoy traditional Romanian party music, songs from the interwar period and tangos.

The festival is presented by Alexandra Velniciuc, and the director of the festival is Amelia Etegan, manager of the Dolj County Center for the Conservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture. "The privilege of having such a festival materialized in 1998, when the institution of the Dolj County Center for the Conservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture, which still implements the project today, initiated the "Ioana Radu" National Festival, a festival that would showcase to the loving public of the kind of artists consecrated in the service of romance and the great lady Ioana Radu, every two years, alternately with the Festival National "Maria Tănase", said the manager of CJCPCT Dolj, Amelia Etegan.

Tickets can be found at the headquarters of the County Center for the Conservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture Dolj in Alexandru Macedonski street, no. 28, from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The price of a ticket is 70 lei/person.
