#AlwaysInLove. Ideas for celebrating love, at Dragobete

The most beautiful celebration of authentic, Romanian love, is knocking at our door and we would do well to welcome it with open arms. Dragobetele, a mythological character, similar to Eros, of the ancient Greeks, and Cupid, of the Romans, who officiated in the sky, at the beginning of each spring, the wedding of all animals, is a tradition that gradually extended to the people. It gave rise to yet another reason to celebrate earthly love and an opportunity to declare our love for the one next to us.

There are many ideas for gifts or for spending free time, but we have made a selection of what you can do around Dragobete or even on February 24 with your partner.

A wonderful gesture of romance, which will surely please your better half, would be visiting the sculpture "The Kiss", signed by Constantin Brâncuși, a work hosted by the Art Museum in Craiova. Created in 1907, the work was presented to the public for the first time in 1910, as part of the exhibition of the Artistic Youth group, in Bucharest. It entered the international circuit after the artist presented a plaster version of it at the 1913 exhibition opened at the Armory Show in New York. The stone block that captured the soul through Brâncuși's talent presents the busts of two young men united in an embrace: the woman embraces the man's shoulders with her arms, her palms are crossed on his neck, and the man comes to continue this embrace, his arms completing the circle. In this way, the idea of a whole, of a couple, of love is formed, which can even represent your love! We remind you that the visiting hours of the Art Museum are from Wednesday to Sunday, between 10:00 and 17:00. And, if you get there, also enter the "Constantin Brâncuși" Center, also open from Wednesday to Sunday, between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., with free access.

Another idea for a romantic date is a walk in the nature, and not just anywhere, but in Craiova's romantic-style park, the "Nicolae Romanescu" Park. A quiet park with recreation areas and breathtaking landscapes, this is one of the most representative monuments of landscape art in Romania. And, why not, you can have a romantic dinner in the new restaurant in the middle of the park, MOS.

If you prefer the theater, we advise you to go to the play of the Act Theater from Bucharest, "She and only her", which will be performed on the stage of the "Colibri" Theatre. It deals with the problem of the lack of communication between the teenager and the parent, the differences between generations, the specific experiences of adolescence, the impact and possible consequences of communication through social networks. But beware, Act Theater's plays are hugely popular and might get you addicted!
