Those of you who have not yet arrived in Craiova should know that this city has been breathing sports for decades and continues to do so admirably even now. Our city benefits from one of the most modern sports complexes in the country, which could compete with similar places abroad.
Now, that sports lovers can see their favorite competitions live, it would be a shame if you arrive in Craiova not to visit the "Ion Oblemenco" Stadium, the Polyvalent Hall or the "Nicolae Marasescu" Athletics Stadium, recently inaugurated.

What to see? Well, the athletics stadium is made to host important competitions, of the highest level, here taking place, at the beginning of summer, the Balkan Relay Championship, as well as the National Spring Competition for seniors and youth.
At the Polyvalent Hall, you can enjoy basketball, volleyball or handball competitions, along with teams that will be more than happy, certainly, to have fans with them after so long playing with empty stands.
As for the football stadium, it has a capacity of 30,000 seats, and on match days, the whole city breathes white and blue under the murmur of the fans who came to enjoy football.
In the same area with the three points of interest, there is also the Youth Stadium, which the Dolj County Council wants to restore and transform into a multifunctional sports complex, a project that has already been included on the summary list of objectives that will be financed from the budget of the National Investment Company.
Moving a little away from this area of the city, we can not forget about the Touristic Center for Leisure and Sports. Football, tennis, basketball or bowling are the activities that visitors can practice here in optimal conditions. The complex consists of four courts equipped with grandstands and professional night lighting installations: football field with natural turf, multifunctional field with synthetic surface, for football/ handball/ volleyball and two tennis courts, with basketball panels.
The center also includes two bowling alleys, a sand pit running track and a climbing wall, gym, fitness room, massage room and sauna, locker rooms and showers.
