#SpectacularCraiova. What plays and concerts are we seeing and listening to this season

Cultural institutions have reopened their doors after the summer vacation, with their seasons much awaited by the public. The "Marin Sorescu" National Theatre, the "Colibri" Theater, the "Oltenia" Philharmonic or the  "Maria Tănase" Folklore Ensemble await you with quality art, plays and many surprises for all ages.

The 2022/2023 season of the Oltenia Philharmonic, which takes place under the name HOPE Season, is one under the sign of hope, the music of great composers always being a catalyst for life animated by meaning and noble ideals, as reported by the organizers. 

In this season's program, music lovers will be able to find famous creations, such as "Carmen" by Bizet, "Symphony IX" by Beethoven or Concert no. 2 by Paganini. The guests will be outstanding musicians, whose names can be found in the programs of the most important national or international stages. 

Subscriptions and tickets have gone on sale and can be purchased both online and at the Oltenia Philharmonic's agency. 

After a brilliant summer in which it charmed us with Occupy Street Puppets and workshops of all kinds, the team from the Children's and Youth Theater "Colibri" invites us to continue at the same pace in the fall. The childhood stories, perfectly staged by the actors from "Colibri", will continue to impress us weekend after weekend, and you can find out their schedule on the institution's Facebook page. 

Tickets can be bought from the "Colibri" Theater agency, from Monday to Saturday, between 10:00-13:00 and 16:00-19:00, and on Sunday, between 10:00 and 13:00. 

After starting the season in force with the show "Oedipus King" directed by the famous Declan Donnellan, the "Marin Sorescu" National Theater aims to bring its audience closer and closer, and not only to the one in Craiova, by organizing a "Regional Shuttle". People from all the region of Oltenia, lovers of the theater, will be able to come by bus to the National Theatre in Craiova, and round-trip transportation will be included in the ticket price. 

Last but not least, the premiere of the season will be the show "L’avaro" by Moliere, directed by Felix Alexa, with scenography signed by Andrada Chiriac. The play will be performed on October 15, 16 and 22, in the "Amza Pellea" Hall, and tickets for all performances can be purchased online or at the theater agency. 

Returning from Bucharest, where they participated in the recording of the first edition of the show "Once in a Lifetime", which will be broadcast on TVR1 channel, the dancers of the "Maria Tănase" Folklore Ensemble will present the folklore theater piece "Prințesa Bosumflată" at the Autumn Fair organized by the "Petrache Poenaru" Kindergarten from Craiova. 

 

In the program of the autumn-winter season, folklore lovers will be able to watch the performances of the ensemble at the hall of the "Marin Sorescu" National Theatre: "Povestea cantecului", on October 24, 2022; "In memoriam Petrică Mîțu Stoian", on November 29 and "Am plecat să colindăm", on December 21, 2022.
