To know what we are talking about, we tell you that this project is a journey through the life of the traditional village, a good opportunity to establish a strong cultural connection between rural communities and to promote the traditional values of the county. It's been six years since this event took place, and authentic housewives from the county and recipes to leave your mouth watering, from our home, where the food tastes the best, have gathered around it.

This year, "Dolju-n bucate" did not take place for easy to understand reasons, but what we can do is show you and give you some ideas about what it means, but also how it can help you.

So eat well and get ready.

Tifineak

This pie with Romanian taste and Serbian name simply leaves your mouth watering. We thought we'd not start with dessert, but we think we can easily eat tifineak at any time of the day. The housewives also told its story, in a real Oltenian way.

"Stir the grated pumpkin on the grater, stir with two tablespoons of sugar, and as it smells, put the lemon zest and prepare the „turtițe” (type of local bread). Put a layer of „turtițe”, put a layer of pumpkin, put a layer of „turtițe”. Then you fold them with raw dough and put them in the oven”.

Sour soup with sour mirabelle

Only good after a harder night, sour soup is generally a powerful remedy that immediately puts you on your feet. But have you ever soured soup with sour mirabelle? The taste is special and somewhat different. And the "juice" of mirabelles is easy to make: boil them until they soften and put the seeds aside, then crush them in a sieve until all the pulp and juice comes out of them. With what you got, you mix with the soup towards the end, when the vegetables in it are cooked. Let's continue? 😊

Tomatoes in brine

Also to make you as good as new after some Romanian brandy, only some tomatoes made in brine are good, exactly according to the recipe we use for cucumbers. It's unique because so far we haven't heard much about pickled tomatoes. They are good even with a baked chicken in breadcrumbs, but I think we can all find a good combination with them.

Stuffed „raci”

„Raci”, those peppers dried on a string, not only go in soup, but also stuffed and eaten on a bed of rice or with various sauces. You can make them with a good filling of meat or vegetables, after soaking them in warm water to come back to life. Then bake them like any stuffed vegetable and they will make you have a good day, without a doubt!

These are just a few suggestions from us for a culinary December. You can also consult recipes collected by us last year, because you will need inspiration and good food on the table this holiday celebration, like any other. In fact, let's make it a celebration every day!
