The public will also be able to discover the temporary exhibition “Collegiul Nacional “Carol I” Craiova – Artă și Patrimoniu” and, at the same time, at the “Constantin Brâncuși” Center we have the exhibition “Paleologist – Brâncuși – A Necessary Alphabet”, opened on the occasion of the Brâncuși Year.
Oltenia Museum
The Natural Sciences Section, the Ethnography Section (Casa Băniei), and the History-Archaeology Section open on Museum Night, and visitors are expected to discover three exceptional temporary exhibitions, along with thematic excursions and guided tours of the museum's eight permanent exhibitions.
Museum of the Book and Romanian Exile
The Museum of the Book and Romanian Exile, hosted by the magnificent Dianu House, is a space of memory, culture, and stories that have crossed borders and generations. Visitors will discover rare documents, manuscripts, collector's editions and testimonies of Romanian intellectuals in exile, in a lively dialogue between the past and the present. The evening's program will include thematic exhibitions, artistic moments and interactive experiences dedicated to the Romanian cultural heritage.
"Amza Pellea" Memorial House
The public is expected to discover the "Amza Pellea" Memorial House at their own pace, in an evening dedicated to cultural heritage and dialogue. Come enjoy Amza's smile and an atmosphere good for storytelling, good for listening! At the "Amza Pellea" Memorial House in Băilești, reopened to the public in April 2024 after a complete renovation, you can discover the personal and professional universe of one of the most beloved Romanian actors. The building itself is a historical monument built in 1908 in neo-baroque style. The interior preserves authentic furniture (sideboard, table, stools) and symbolic details, such as two clocks stopped at exactly 7:25, the moment of Amza Pellea's death.
The goal of the Night of Museums is to bring culture closer under the fascination of the night, ensuring free access for participants and a unique and different experience. We are waiting for you!
