The Celebration Days of Craiova open the season of summer and fun!
If summer comes, then the Celebration Days of Craiova come too! Scheduled between May 30 and June 2, this year, they have a rich program of events, both for the adults, but especially for the little ones, who will have a spectacular June 1st day. We remind you, at the same time, that on June 1, no less than 549 years will have passed since the first documentary attestation of Craiova, in a charter of Laiotă Basarab, nicknamed Basarab Laiotă cel Batrân, lord of the Romanian Land at that time.
Fantasy Park opens its doors for children!
Craiova Days bring, this year, the most beautiful activities dedicated to children, but also a new story space, the themed Fantasy Park, which will open its doors on June 1. Children are expected since Saturday morning, June 1, starting 10:00, at the new Craiova theme park, located on Toporași street, opposite the former Billa supermarket, with numerous surprise activities, scheduled in a fairytale setting. In continuation of this special day for them, all children are invited to participate to the biggest parade of children and cartoon costumes, which will leave at 18:00 from the University and will end at "Mihai Viteazul" Square.
Concerts for all musical tastes
Shows, interactive workshops, concerts, exhibitions, handmade fair, ExpoFlora, Street Food Festival, but also the biggest parade with and for children are part of the program of this edition of Craiova City Days. The events, which will officially start on May 30, will take place in "Mihai Viteazul" Square, "Nicolae Romanescu" Park, Centrul Vechi, A.I. Cuza, "William Shakespeare" Square, museums, Theodor Aman Street and Fantasy Park.
The "Maria Tănase" Folk Ensemble, Maria Dragomiroiu, Vlăduța Lupău and Rapsozii Maramureșului, the Popular School of Arts and Crafts "Cornetti", the "Colibri" Children's and Youth Theater, Opera Română Craiova, Alexia, The Players, Bere Gratis and Filarmonica "Oltenia" Craiova, Theo Rose and Smiley will take the stage in the "Mihai Viteazul" Square between May 31st and June 2nd, and the presenter of the concerts will be MC Tom Crîngureanu.
The Atypical Beauty Gala, for the first time in Craiova
Because beauty lies in absolutely each of us and is waiting to be seen by everyone, a special and unique moment will be the one on May 31, when, on the big stage in "Mihai Viteazul" Square, for the first time in Craiova, 12 people in wheelchairs will parade in an event with national tradition: the Atypical Beauty Gala.
Visitors of these days of celebration for Craiova will also enjoy car exhibitions, the Cupa Băniei chess competition, ExpoFlora on Theodor Aman Street or the fishing competition for children in the "Nicolae Romanescu" Park.
