A better 2022! What do we expect from next year?
Another year has passed and, instead of looking back at what it was, we want to think about what it will be. What events await us, when and, especially, if, in the context of the pandemic. So we put them all on paper and we can't wait for the new year to come, with unique events, fresh editions and the same pleasure of receiving them all in our lives.
Puppets Occupy Street – Carnivale Edition
The team from Puppets Occupy Street, the ultra-notorious festival of Craiova, has already announced a teaser for the 2022 edition. This will be called Carnivale and was recently revealed on the festival's Facebook page. What surprises await between August 25 and September 1, 2022, we are more than excited to see!
Shakespeare International Festival 2022
2022 is knocking at the door and, therefore, another edition of the traditional International Shakespeare Festival, organized every two years in Craiova. In 2020, the edition took place online and was an incredible success, being masterfully created in the context of the pandemic. Let's hope that 2022 will give us the opportunity to watch the guest plays of this festival live, on the stage of the "Marin Sorescu" National Theater.
Street Delivery
Street Delivery is a festival that has always surprised, since its appearance in Craiova. Every year, the city transforms and becomes the people's again for a few days, and this is what the organizers also aim for: to involve the community as much as possible in the life of the city. We are extremely curious to find out what awaits us in 2022!
InstaCraiova
We can't talk about the festivals we think about without mentioning InstaCraiova. It is a fresh festival, for young people and not only, which was recently awarded, with the third prize, at the Romanian Youth Gala, "Culture" section. We are glad to have such events in the city and we wish success to those from April Hub in organizing the 2022 edition!
Until then, however, we recommend that you start - or end the year - with a smile on your face and urge you to visit a super caricature exhibition hosted by the History-Archeology section of the Oltenia Museum. It brings together the works of 34 Romanian artists and 21 foreign artists and can be visited until the end of January.
