Enjoy your great cinemas in Craiova

We have no shortage of moviegoers and, of course, neither of good places to watch the latest movies. Private or state-owned, cinemas are always an alternative for spending free time, enjoying a good movie, in a pleasant atmosphere. With three private cinemas and two managed by the state, Craiova has enough options for the most in vogue movies and premieres.

Inspire Cinema VIP

The first full VIP cinema in Romania exists and is located - where else but - in Craiova, in Electroputere Mall. The cinematic experience taken to the next level means 7 movie theater rooms equipped with the latest 3D projection systems, one of them having the largest screen in this network with the possibility of 4K image playback and the highest performing sound. Another room is exclusively for children. All rooms have folding chairs with individual table, cup holder and a socket for charging your mobile phone, so you will feel right at home.

Inspire Cinema Mercur

Do you want movies, but also a stunning sensation and a beautiful panorama? Then you have to go to Inspire Cinema. Opened in the summer of 2016, this is the first multiplex in Craiova, located in Mercur Center, right in the city center. The six fully digital movie theater rooms (four with the latest 3D technology and two with 2D) benefit from a café, but also from an outdoor terrace, located on the 4th floor, with a breathtaking view over the "Mihai Viteazul" Square, the Administrative Palace and The Palace Hotel.

Colours Cinema

Located in the western part of the city, within the Auchan Galleries, Colours Cinema is the first private cinema opened in Craiova seven years ago. The films offer is up-to-date, as are the sensations offered by the 3D systems or high performance audio, in the two rooms available, with a total capacity of 187 seats.

Two other cinemas, this time administered by the state, are available in Craiova. With a different air, offering a slightly different experience, Cinema Patria, where the premieres run, but also Cinema Modern, which focuses more on Romanian and European films, are waiting for you to cross their threshold.
