Flux-Arena is the most recent and modern Sports Complex in Craiova. It was established in 2017 out of desire to offer Electro-Flux employees an ideal place to relax. It is a complex for those who love movement, good mood and high quality sports services. The first stage of the construction work, consisting of two mini football fields, was completed in the spring of this year, followed in the shortest time by the completion of the largest hall in which 4 tennis courts with natural clay will function, all equipped with heating systems, floodlighting and changing rooms. An absolute novelty in the field of sports activities consists in the implementation of 2 padbol fields. Also, within the complex will be constructed two foot tennis courts. The playing surfaces of the best quality are suitable for organizing sports competitions addressed to all age categories. Visitors of this sports complex will also have other facilities, such as private parking and a café. Thus, Flux - Arena will become a place that you will need to keep in mind when it comes to relaxation, movement and fun, a place that slowly has the chance to become a second family for any sports lover. Tennis Club Craiova Sports Complex

Located near the Psychiatry Clinic, in the vicinity of Nicolae Romanescu Park, the sports complex has 4 professional tennis courts, a tennis hall and balloon with heating up to 20 degrees temperature, a bar and terrace, showers for players, changing rooms for permanent members, team of trainers, physical trainer and nurse. In the tennis hall, after every hour of tennis, the stained air is replaced with fresh air!

Popeci Sports Club has 4 clay tennis courts and 2 tennis courts with Green Set surface. These are suitable for all categories of players: from beginners to professionals, either children or adults. Popeci Club was founded in 2002 following a desire to offer employees an ideal place to relax. The beginnings were timid: a single football field. But demand was high, both inside the Popeci team and externally. Thus, the already built court was renovated and another tennis court was added. Then followed the second football field. But that wasn't enough. We then dared to dream more and we decided to create a sports complex in the true sense of the word. A massive investment followed and completely changed the former club, turning it into what it is today: 4 tennis courts, 2 tennis halls, a football field, a football hall, a fitness room and a small bar / cafe where people can socialize and enjoy the moments spent together. Our motto is that a person who practices any type of sports is a healthier, more balanced person, competitive and good at working with the team. What differentiates us on the local market is the possibility of playing more sports in the same place. Popeci Club is aimed at families and groups of friends who want to play sports together but have different preferences. Our private parking, the café and the changing rooms with showers are other facilities that we provide to those who come through our door. Passion and love for sports have always motivated us to move forward, and we will always support health achieved through practicing sports.

”Stănică” Tennis Club was established in 2010 out of love for sports and the desire to achieve great performance in tennis. The successful results obtained in this sport, the experience gained as professional players but also the experience acquired in the field of sports during college, are some of the reasons why the brothers Victor and Oana Stănică decided to create their own tennis club. Through specialized tennis courses we try to convey to children the joy of movement and especially how to learn to play tennis. Although it is an individual game, it should be practiced at the beginning in groups of children who are permanently selected according to different criteria: age, physical development, level of training attained, individual motivations (tennis practiced for health, to participate in competitions or to obtain performances ), etc. The size of these groups starts from 4-6 children at initiation level, 3-4 children at advanced level and after the age of 10 a mixed training system is practiced: both in groups of 3-4 children but also in groups of 2 children or individually, the proportion of individual workouts or in groups of two being lower for children aged 10-11 and gradually increasing until the age of 14. After the age of 14, the preparation becomes predominantly an individual one, whether it is done with a coach or with another athlete as sparring partner. Stănică Tennis Club aims to create a large selection base, to be able to convey the love and beauty of this sport with minimal expenses from families. In this regard, it organizes promotional selection actions on a quarterly basis. The training takes place at the sports complex in Viitorului Street, at no. 24C. The goal of the club is to discover talented athletes, to teach them tennis and to help them become winners and champions. “We have set up our own club to be able to create and develop an effective training system for athletes, meant to lead to achieving performance, a system based on the experiences gained over the years as a coach or as an athlete. We are sure that we will succeed, the question whose answer remains unknown and we will only be able to answer in years from now: how many champions will we discover and how long will they be able to remain at the top? It is a long, hard but beautiful road, we have patience and we believe that in a short time the club will start to grow in terms of the number of athletes and results that will be obtained, number of coaches and members, but also in terms of sponsorship opportunities for talented athletes."

Este așezat pe malul Dunării, între Calafat și Turnu Severin, pe locul în care, de pe la 1880 până la mijlocul secolului trecut, a funcționat un port agricol de unde se exporta grâu și făină spre Budapesta, Viena și orașele germane danubiene.  În 1997, impunătoarea clădire a căpităniei portului, construitǎ cu mai bine de 100 de ani în urmǎ de meşteri italieni însǎ de ani buni abandonată şi aflată în ruină, a fost descoperită întâmplător şi achiziţionată de Mircea Dinescu. Astfel, fostul port agricol a avut şansa să reînvie ca „port cultural” după mai bine de 50 de ani de când, odată cu instaurarea regimului comunist, fusese închis şi transformat în pichet de grăniceri. Ideea de port cultural a venit de la sine: între 1998-2007, pe perioada restaurǎrii clǎdirilor principale, portul a gǎzduit cu preponderenţǎ tabere de artişti, în cadrul unor proiecte organizate de Fundaţia pentru poezie „Mircea Dinescu”. La început au fost ceramiştii care şi-au construit cuptoarele pe malul Dunării şi apoi chiar şi un „sat neolitic” pe lângă iazurile din vatra veche a satului, la Ulmi. Apoi au venit sculptorii care au lăsat primii îngeri din lemn şi piatră. Proiectul „Înger Parc” – născut la începutul anilor 2000 ca o reacţie polemică la ideea ministrului turismului de atunci de a contrui „Dracula Parc” – a continuat să crească, adăugându-şi în ultimii ani câteva sculpturi monumentale de metal.  Din 2007, când fundaţia, sub auspiciile firmei Port Cetate, a început sǎ renoveze / restaureze şi celelalalte clǎdiri aflate pe malul Dunǎrii, şi dupǎ construirea unei bucǎtǎrii moderne şi a unui mini-hotel, locul a devenit accesibil şi pentru turism. Tot din 2007, după instalarea unui ponton nou, a fost reinaugurat şi portul, care primeşte acum periodic vase turistice de croziera sau ambarcaţiuni private.  Portul Cetate este astǎzi recunoscut pentru gastronomia sa cu totul specială, inspirată de vechi reţete boiereşti şi produsă doar cu ingrediente naturale de la ferma proprie, dar şi pentru „Vinul lui Dinescu”, produs la crama Galicea Mare. Cele douǎ plantaţii de la Cetate şi Galicea însumează 100 ha şi includ atât soiuri autohtone cât şi soiuri nobile europene şi, deşi încă tinere, au deja în palmares câteva vinuri de excepţie.  Astăzi, deşi din ce în ce mai popular ca destinaţie de turism, portul continuă să găzduiască evenimente culturale organizate sub auspiciile fundaţiei pentru poezie: Divanul de film şi artă culinară de la sfârşitul verii (ajuns deja, în 2015, la ediţia a 6-a), SoNoRo Interferenţe, un workshop de muzică de cameră care precedă şi pregăteşte Festivalul SoNoRo, tabere de traduceri (împreună cu Goethe Institut şi parteneri din Germania), tabere de scriere creatoare şi rezidenţe pentru scriitori în cadrul unor programe de schimburi europene, spectacole de teatru în colaborare cu festivaluri de renume (Festivalul Shakespeare de la Craiova, Festivalul de Teatru de la Sibiu), expoziţii, tabere şi rezidenţe pentru artişti plastici (picturǎ – în colaborare cu Galeria Zorzini -, sculpturǎ şi ceramicǎ), simpozioane şi întâlniri culturale cu parteneri regionali, europeni şi internaţionali.
