ACT Theater from Bucharest, a new micro-stage at the "Colibri" Theatre Craiova
The Theatre for Children and Youth "Colibri", the institution of stories from Craiova, continues the tradition established since 2014, when the first show of the ACT Theatre from Bucharest was staged here in the city. Since then, nine years have passed and almost 40 performances of the Bucharest theatre in Craiova.
Therefore, in the context of this collaboration, the Craiova public has the opportunity to see, in the next period, excellent and meaningful plays. The first of them, whose performance took place last week, was "Home/At The Zoo" by Edward Albee, staged for the first time in Romania in its full version, directed and translated by Silviu Debu, scenography by Ioana Pashca, having starring Ionuț Grama, Ada Condeescu and István Téglás.
At the next scheduled performance, the Craiova public has the chance to meet, again, the great actor Marcel Iureș, who is coming to our city with the same ACT Theatre, in the play "Rosto", adapted from I.L. Caragiale, directed and set by Alexandru Dabija, with actors Dan Rădulescu and Ionuț Toader. "Rosto" will be performed on Thursday, December 14, starting at 7:00 p.m.
Beyond the microseason of the ACT Theater, the "Colibri" Theater from Craiova also has its own surprises to present to the public. A new season has already started in force, and the prepared shows remain as fascinating, both for young and older audiences, because it is never too late to rediscover the child in us. Tickets for performances can be purchased from the Colibri Theater Agency, according to the following schedule: from Monday to Saturday, between 10:00-13:00/16:00-19:00, and on Sundays, between 10:00 and 13:00.
Don't forget that, also at the "Colibri" Theatre, the "Take The Story Further" campaign is ongoing, through which books, toys and supplies are collected to be given to underprivileged children, on the occasion of the winter holidays, carried out in partnership with Cornul Abundenței, "Joy for Life" Association and Logiscool Craiova. Donations can be made in the theatre foyer, until December 15, 2023, from Monday to Saturday, between 10:00-13:00/16:00-19:00, but also on Sundays, between 10:00-13:00 .
