Fantastic end of August! The dolls take over Craiova, and the balloons take over Dolj!
The end of August brings many surprises for the people of Craiova, Dolj, but also for those who choose to visit our county!
Only a few days separate us from one of the most beautiful events that takes place every year in Craiova, namely the Puppets Occupy Street Festival, with its edition this year, held under the Steampunk title.
As usual, the festival begins and ends with the traditional giant puppet parade, an impressive display of force that takes over the entire city. The two parades will occur on August 25th and September 1st, respectively. This year, over 400 events will take place in all areas of Craiova, transforming the place we call "home" into a story space.
Puppets Occupy Street is a festival that, this year, celebrates ten years since its launch, but also of continuity, taking place every year since its beginnings. Around this idea - because it is not just a festival - a massive community of artists, fans, volunteers, collaborators and organizers has been built, who have become, over the years, a true team, loyal and willing to show the best for the theater of animation, thus promoting our city all over the world.

At the same time, between August 23 and 25, at Geormane Lake in Bratovoești, Dolj, the curious can enjoy an exceptional atmosphere and time spent in a different way, having the chance to soar into the blue sky in a hot air balloon! A special and original experience, but also a unique opportunity to see Dolj from above and, why not, to feel that you have the world at your feet.
